The Department cannot extend Visitor visas – however, they can be re-applied if you do not have any “no further stay” condition in your visa. 
Your sponsor can be either:
  • a family member in Australia
  • an Australian government official

Genuine Temporary Entrant Criteria

You must satisfy the genuine temporary entrant criteria to be granted this visa. This means that you must intend to only stay temporarily in Australia and obey all conditions attached to your visa. You can prove that you are a genuine visitor by providing the below evidence:
